The version is printed at the bottom of the app. If something in this list is missing from your copy, check that number first.
v5.2 — current
- Links The Resources drawer now points at this website, so the guides, the workbook and the case studies are always the current versions.
v5.1.1
- Where you stand A new opening page: six figures gathered from the tabs you have already filled in.
- A sentence after every decision The forecast says in one line what your change did.
- Where a year's change came from Separates the movement in your net worth into money, purchases, debt repaid and revaluation — then checks its own arithmetic.
- Family meeting An agenda built from your figures, and a decision log.
- Fixed Envelopes set to build their own goal fund lost that setting when a backup was restored, or when a case file's envelopes were merged in. The data was always in the file and simply not read. Restore the same backup on this build and the fund comes back.
If part of a case study does not appear
Case files have grown, and each addition needs the build that understands it. Load a current case file into an older build and those figures are dropped without a word.
- v4.63 Kids' corner restores correctly
- v4.92 Study loan (HELP) debts
- v4.93 The four per-person super contribution boxes
- v4.95 The “If something happened” record
- v4.98 The “Scams and fraud” record
- v5.1 The decision log, and the position filed with each closed period
The other direction is safe: a backup taken on an older build restores into the current one without loss.

The app carries Australian tax, superannuation and Age Pension settings for 2026–27. These are updated once a year, after the Federal Budget. Take a backup, download the new file, and restore your backup into it — your figures carry across untouched.
